Director of Law Enforcement Training Academy

Black River Technical College is seeking an individual to direct the Black River Technical College Law Enforcement Training Academy. This individual will be responsible for leading a program that meets the Commission on Law Enforcement Standards & Training (CLEST) certification requirements for basic law enforcement officer certification.

The contract length will be 10 month or 12 months, with an anticipated start date of August 10, 2026.

Requirements:

Education requirements are a minimum of Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice or related field, with special consideration being given for a Masters Degree. Candidates for this position must have extensive law enforcement experience at a supervisor or management level. Experience in working at an institution of higher education is preferred.

A valid Arkansas Driver’s License is required.

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

  • $20,000 life insurance policy with premium paid by BRTC
  • 14% minimum retirement contribution from BRTC each pay period
