Black River Technical College (BRTC) has awarded Lauren Chester of Pocahontas the Candy Emporium Scholarship in Memory of Marty Powers.
Chester is a 2025 graduate of Pocahontas High School and is seeking a degree in nursing. She is the daughter of Melanie and Casey Chester of Pocahontas.
The Candy Emporium Scholarship in Memory of Marty Powers funded by The Candy Emporium is made possible through the 2025 BRTC Foundation Golf Tournament headlined by Proventus. The 4-Star sponsorship package enables donors to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a BRTC student the following fall.
