Nutrition and Dietetics

In 1 semester, earn your Certificate of Proficiency then qualify to sit for the CDM CFPP Credentialing Exam® to be a Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional (CDM®, CFPP®).  Black River Technical College’s Certificate of Proficiency in Dietary Management is an ANFP-approved training program.  Between 2022 and 2026, graduates of BRTC's Dietary Management Certificate of Proficiency had a 100% pass rate on their certification exams.

Many student continue beyond the certifiicate of profiency to become a graduate of BRTC's Associate of General Studies with a nutrition and dietetics focus.  These graduates often transfer to a four-year college where they complete a bachelor's degree in nutrition.

Currently, the institution has determined its curriculum meets the state educational requirements for licensure or certification.

All BRTC degree-seeking students should demonstrate competency in the general education learning outcomes.
