What's my user name and password?
Your user name and password follow the same scheme as your computer lab login and password. By default the user name is FirstnameMiddleInitial.Lastname. So John Q Public would have a login name of JohnQ.Public. Your default password will be the last four of your social security number followed by your birthdate in all numbers. So if John Q Publics last four were 1234 and his birthday was March 5,1990 then his password would be 12343590. Please note that there are no leading zeros on the date (March is 3 not 03) and the year is just two digits (90 versus 1990).
What's my BRTC email address?
Your BRTC student email address will be your account name @students.blackrivertech.edu. So John Q Public would have an email address of JohnQ.Public@students.blackrivertech.edu .
How do I access my email?
You access your email through the Gmail web interface. Click here to check your student GMAIL account.
How do I change my password?
Here's how to change your password:
Sign in to Gmail.
Click Settings at the top of any Gmail page, and open the Accounts tab.
Click Google Account settings.
In the new window, click Change password under the Personal information option.
Enter your current password and your new password.
I already have an email account that I would rather use. How can I use that one?
You can forward your BRTC email account to an existing account by logging into your Gmail account, click on settings, forwarding and enable forwarding to your existing account. After that any emails send to your BRTC address should be forwarded to the account you designated. |
